Product Description
We are proud to announce the 2004 Webcast Series, Meeting the 404 Challenge: Internal Audit's Role. This series of ten Webcasts focuses on major challenges facing internal auditors in implementing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Webcast 3 Program Objectives To help clarify: -The impact that the SOA Section 404 will have on Internal Audit Departments, especially their ability to provide overall coverage of corporate risk while supporting the SOA certification. -What impact will the SOA 404 have on the department's staffing skills, balancing 404 deadlines vs. other audit deadlines, and changes to the IAD risk model for selecting topics and/or determining what to look at within a topic. To discuss: -The impact of the SOA Section 404 on the work of the Internal Audit Department especially in the areas of: IT auditing, financial vs. process improvement (operational) auditing, level of compliance auditing needed, tracking/resolving issues coming out of the 404 process, and driving long-term value from SOA activities. To offer suggestions on how: -The SOA process might be used to expand into operational and compliance-type controls documentation and testing. -SOA activities could be expanded to address the real "financial" risks of the organization that surface because of operational issues, not financial reporting issues. Program Content: -Introduction and overview -Questions and answers
